Summary Description:
The primary responsibility of this position is to purchase pulpwood from wood suppliers according to delivery schedules, quality standards, and pricing targets in the Upper Peninsula. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain residence in the Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula.
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum Required Experience and Education:
- Degree in forestry, business, or a related area, or
- Strong knowledge of forest industry, with five years of related experience

- Be able to communicate effectively with external/internal customers and work as a team member
- Possess strong PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to walk extensively and tolerate temperature extremes
- Maintain community involvement and participate in professional organizations
- Possess a current driver’s license and maintain a good driving record
- Work beyond normal work schedule, as necessary, to fulfill the position’s responsibilities
