Summary Description:
Coordinate, maintain, and direct the production activities of the Pulp Mill Areas. Create consistency and advocacy across all crews while closing the gaps in the areas of safety, production, quality, direct material usages and indirect spending.
Required Experience and Education:
Minimum Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, pulp and paper science, a related field OR the equivalent training and/or experience.
- 5+ years of pulp, power, or chemical recovery manufacturing experience.
Required Skills:
Minimum Required Skills:
- Ability to make high-risk decisions under pressure is required (for situations such as production stoppages, or work affecting safety of personnel or equipment).
- Excellent management, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written, and verbal.
- Ability to direct employees to meet stated objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
