We are now looking for a Data Platform / Power BI Developer 


You will be part of our Global IT Business Intelligence team with the purpose of enabling data-driven decision making across Billerud. The team consists of experienced BI and analytics professionals working closely with stakeholders across business functions and locations. 


As a Data Platform / Power BI Developer, you will play a key role in shaping and evolving our modern analytics landscape. You will develop scalable data solutions, create valuable insights for the business, and contribute to our journey within advanced analytics, cloud technologies, and AI-enabled solutions. 

 

The position is based at one of our Swedish locations, preferably Solna, but can also be located in Gruvön, Gävle, Frövi, Skärblacka or Karlsborg
 
Your main tasks will be: 

  • Design, develop and maintain data platform solutions and reporting capabilities. 
  • Build and optimize data models, data pipelines and integrations across business systems. 
  • Develop dashboards, reports and semantic models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. 
  • Support and improve existing BI solutions while ensuring performance, quality and governance. 
  • Contribute to initiatives within AI, sustainability reporting and advanced analytics. 
  • Explore and implement new technologies that strengthen our analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, we believe you have: 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Several years of experience within Business Intelligence, Data Platform or Analytics development. 
  • Strong experience working with SQL and data modelling. 
  • Strong experience with Power BI 
  • Experience designing and delivering scalable data solutions in cloud environments. 
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Professional proficiency in English. 


Meritorious: 

  • Experience with Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric and Azure. 
  • Experience with data integration, APIs and ETL/ELT development. 
  • Experience with Power BI administration and governance. 
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning or advanced analytics. 
  • Experience from manufacturing, process industry or sustainability-related reporting. 
  • Relevant certifications within Power BI, Azure or Snowflake.
