We are looking for an Allocation Manager who wants to play a key role in driving stability, enabling data-driven decisions, and strengthening collaboration across Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations.

About the position:

As an Allocation Manager, you will be responsible for creating a fact-based, short-term balance between supply and demand. Working at the intersection of planning, commercial priorities, and production, you will play a key role in ensuring operational stability while contributing to Billerud’s commercial development. You will be part of an engaged Planning team characterized by strong collaboration, solid expertise, and a focus on continuous development.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure a fact-based, short-term balance between supply and demand.

  • Prepare and quality-assure decision-making materials and input for KPI follow-up.
  • Manage and optimize allocation volumes within a 0–3-month horizon.
  • Monitor and balance inventory levels.
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional forums for product mix and allocation decisions.
  • Identify risks, constraints, and bottlenecks, and initiate appropriate actions.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes.

The position may be located at one of our Swedish mills (Skärblacka, Gruvön, Frövi, Gävle, or Karlsborg) or at Billerud’s headquarters in Solna, Stockholm.

At Billerud, we put Safety First. Together we take great pride in our responsibility to contribute to a safe work environment. Please read more about our Safety First initiative here.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, we believe you have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in demand, supply, or inventory planning.
  • Experience working with complex data, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
  • A structured, data-driven, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with a good understanding of Swedish.
  • Experience with planning and BI tools, such as OMP or QlikView/BI, is considered an advantage.

Personal qualities

To thrive in this role, we believe you are analytical and structured, with the ability to create clarity in complex situations. You communicate clearly and build strong relationships across functions. With a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, you challenge assumptions, drive improvements, and contribute to well-informed business decisions that balance customer needs with production requirements.
